artist enhanced limited editions

Beginning in 2004, Carrie recognized a unique opportunity – one that would allow her to broaden her market reach by offering limited editions of some of her most iconic and recognizable pieces as pigment prints on canvas at a lower price point… with a twist. For each of these highly coveted works, Carrie finishes them personally, thereby imbuing each with the uniqueness of the artist’s hand. While the images themselves begin as the highest resolution replication, once these pieces are in the studio, they are hand-stretched onto custom-milled poplar hardwood bars with an eased edge to maintain a smoother painting surface. Carrie then applies acrylic enhancements to each and signs them.

Every Artist Enhanced Limited Edition is certified by our third-party partner, Verisart; the unique information on each edition is encrypted and stored on the Bitcoin blockchain, thus ensuring the chain of provenance for current and future valuation. Not every Carrie Fell original will be selected to become an edition, yet those that do offer the combination of uniqueness and value for a more accessible price point for art enthusiasts, with many prior editions having completely sold out.

Finally, unlike many artists, Carrie has historically limited her releases to no more than fifty in an edition, thereby increasing the demand for this unique approach to her art. In some cases, the editions were limited to as few as ten. Further enhancing the attractiveness of these unique artworks is the flexibility Carrie has to scale them in size for more customized implementations.

    Poplar hardwood is milled to our exacting standard 1-3/8” width with an eased edge to maintain a smoother painting surface. The bars are custom fabricated for each piece and assembled to create the perfect frame for the canvas.

    Carrie uses only top-of-the-line, archival-quality, 15 oz canvas - triple-primed with acid-free titanium gesso to
    reach a finished weight of 20 oz. More stable and durable than lighter-weight canvases, it supports heavier paint and larger applications with ease and offers an outstanding substrate for almost any medium — from oil and acrylic to egg tempera and casein. Once the poplar frame has been created the premium
    quality canvas is hand-stretched to ensure a tight wrap and superior smoothness
    for Carrie’s creations.

  • the authenticity guarantee

    since 2021 each piece of art created by Carrie Fell is certified by our 3rd party partner - Verisart. This information is encrypted and stored on the Bitcoin blockchain. Each blockchain record is tamper-proof which
    ensures your certificate timestamps are securely and permanently recorded.  The combination of security, transparency, and anonymity provided by the blockchain enables the certification and verification of your data without the risk of corruption, loss, or expiration - creating bar-none the greatest degree of assurance that any Carrie Fell piece is certified and authenticated.
